Evening and Saturday Sick and Well Check Appointments
Children from both offices who need to be seen in the evenings for illness and scheduled well check appointments, are seen in the Sellersville office on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings; and on Wednesday evening in the Harleysville office. Saturday morning appointments for illness and well checks are available for children normally seen in both offices in our Sellersville office only.
Evening, Weekend, Holiday Additional Charge: An additional $50 charge will be billed to your insurance company when your child is seen in the evening, on a weekend, or on a federal holiday for illness appointments. Please be advised that you may be responsible for all or part of this charge as determined by your insurance company.
Sports and Child Health Appraisal Forms: A $10 fee is charged for completion of all forms unless the child is being seen for a well check. These forms will only be completed for children who have had a good check in the past year. There will be no exceptions.
Phone Call Charge: Effective 11/1/15, incoming phone calls to PPA nurses or clinicians lasting over 5 minutes will be billed to all insurance companies. Please be advised that you may be responsible for all or part of this charge as determined by your insurance.
Canceling your appointment? Please provide us with the courtesy of 24-hours’ notice when canceling your appointment.
Antibiotics: PPA offers parents the convenience of purchasing some antibiotics through our office and these must be paid for at the time of the service. We do not accept any prescription plans.
Immunizations: When a parent consents to an immunization for a child and then changes his/her mind, the parent will be charged for the immunization if the nurse has already prepared the injection. The parent will be charged PPA’s cost for the vaccine and this charge cannot be billed to insurance.
Red Flag Rule/HIPAA: In compliance with Federal laws designed to prevent identity theft, all new patients to the practice will be required to present a valid photo ID to open an account at PPA. Parents should be prepared to show valid ID at any new patient visit. Photo ID is also required for anyone picking up any paperwork at our offices to comply with HIPAA laws.

Sick and Well waiting rooms
In our offices, there are two waiting rooms, one for sick children and one for good children. This was done to relieve the concern of many parents that well children will be exposed to the illness of sick children. Ample exam rooms have been provided so that your stay in the waiting room should be short. A restroom is located near the nurse’s station in each hallway.
